Sit down, lay back
Close your eyes
Pause for the moment
Think back into your minds

About the great person
That we were all so blessed to have
Grasp onto the memories
And the presence of him we won’t get back

He’ll always be that star
That shines brighter than the rest
And he’ll forever make the wishes we wish
Come true for the very best

As we lay our heads down at night
Listening to his songs as we fall asleep
He’ll be sure to come down and lay beside us
And fly through our dreams

And when we wake up in the morning
We’ll have his presence beside us in our rooms
And we won’t be sad because we’ll realize
That we’ll get to see him soon

We’ll go through Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
With having everything remind us of you
And Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
We’ll regret not going up there with you too

We’ll go through something more
When Saturday comes our way
We’ll take the moment to pause
To think about our Josh that left us on this day

We’ll think about that person that day
The Josh that is always set on our minds
We’ll simply leave him to stay a memory
In the place he left behind

Everything that we have given him
Will forever make his spirit glow
He’ll light up the heavens above us
In the next place that he goes

He’ll brighten up the days of everyone
When he greets them with his smile
He’ll make his sad puppy dog face with his big blue eyes
That makes the heavens melt in a short while

He will finally have no worries
He will be without a single flaw
He’ll never make one more mistake
Or break even the smallest law

All of the people that keep you in their hearts
Stop to think each and every day
Of the question that remains unanswered
Of why they took you away

They took you before you graduated
And got those papers that send you on your way
They took you before you got to see your wife walk down the isle
Or hear the ‘I-Do’s you now wont get to say

But as we drift back into our minds
And glide beyond the skies
We’ll fly into the wonders
Without ever having to wonder why

We’ll go through the future
As we look at the now; back towards the then
And remember the great person you were
And how awesome a friend
